PERSONAL STORY

Dominik was born and raised in Queens, New York, where sports were a big part of his upbringing. He spent his early years playing basketball and soccer, which sparked his interest in movement, performance, and staying active.

That passion carried over into his career, where he developed a strong focus on helping others move better, get stronger, and return to the activities they enjoy. Dominik continues to stay active himself, regularly running, training, and currently playing in multiple soccer leagues across NYC, as well as participating in basketball leagues and pickup games throughout the boroughs. This keeps him closely connected to the physical demands of sport and performance Outside of the clinic, you can find him traveling, working out, playing guitar, or dabbling in DJ’ing on his mixer.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Load, load, load. Most PTs underload their patients for the demands they’re trying to get back to doing. Making sure my patients are sweating and get pushed to the limit to get back to their sports and activities is crucial. If you can’t do it hard and fast in here you probably won’t be able to do it hard and fast out in the real world.

CREDENTIALS

What’s it Like to Work with Dominik?

“I worked with Dominik Slaweta here for a neck and shoulder injury and he was absolutely fantastic. He listened thoroughly, then had me work through several exercises until he diagnosed the specific mechanisms that led to my injury. He was thorough in showing me exercises for recovery and always sends follow up emails after sessions with descriptions of all the exercises. My neck and shoulders feel fantastic now and I can contribute that completely to Dominik. If you were on the fence about going to physical therapy, take this as a call to action and make an appointment with Dominick!”
