Meet the team
Perfect Stride is a physical therapist-owned New York City based small business that has been working since 2012 to challenge and reshape the conventional ways of providing Physical Therapy. We believe in only providing one-on-one care to ensure that your entire story is heard and you are moving and feeling your best.
We are movement specialists who work with motivated and active clients to optimize their performance without the use of pain medications or surgery. The human body is a truly remarkable organism that has incredible abilities to heal.
However, sometimes we need help to understand how to access these abilities and facilitate the healing process. At Perfect Stride, we are trained to not only get to the root cause of your issue, but also to consider your entire health ecosystem in our decision-making process. We are trained to pinpoint contributing factors that are affecting your health such as diet, sleep, stress or other medical concerns and we have a vast network of health professionals that we can recommend to you if needed.
Doctors Of Physical Therapy – Human Movement Experts – Athletes
Our Physical Therapists are movement specialists who combine clinical expertise with a passion for helping people reach their goals. We take the time to listen, assess thoroughly, and guide you through every step of your recovery and performance journey.
We pride ourselves on taking the time to clearly explain the nature of your problem to you,
What needs to be done to ensure your success and answer all of your questions in easy to understand language.
Education is a very critical part of our philosophy at Perfect Stride. As the saying goes, “knowledge is power” and we could not agree more. Information is easier to obtain than ever before but how do we make sense of all of this information that is at our fingertips? There is a lot of misinformation that is being spread about movement, injury and rehab, and this can greatly hinder your recovery and increase your likelihood of injury in the future.
This gross misinformation campaign is very widespread and includes statements such as: pronation is bad – the knee extension machine is bad for your knees – you shouldn’t bend your spine – you shouldn’t let your knees go over your toes – your pelvis/spine is out of alignment – you have to keep your spine straight when you lift – your posture is causing your pain – all pain is bad so don’t move if you have pain – you should avoid the position that you got injured in – your MRI/x-ray findings define you and your pain experience – your disc slipped – running is bad for your knees and back These statements, along with many others, can be damaging to your health and performance. While there may be a place and time to observe some of these statements, it rarely (if ever) should be considered an absolute truth. This is why we know that education is the single most important component of your successful movement journey. The more informed you are about your treatment, the better you can be an active participant in your movement journey, which will lead to YOU moving and feeling your best!

Prior to working with Perfect Stride, I had been caught in a multi-year injury cycle and could never get back to running consistently—no matter what I tried, including other physical therapy clinics. Through Emily's guidance ranging from strength training to plyometrics to recovery to slowly building up mileage, I've been able to finally run consistently again and have my first ever half marathon coming up this Sunday. Emily has a unique blend of expertise stemming from her own experience running track & field and it was definitely a highlight every week getting to work with her. If I ever have any physical therapy needs as I look to run my first marathon later this year, there's no question I'll be returning to Perfect Stride.Posted on H Hey17 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What else can I say besides that Austin hired and chosed the right physical therapist for my shoulder issues. Emily is a true gem! When I joined, I could barely lift my arm higher than my chest. But Emily was attentive and immediately identified which muscles needed to be strengthen in order to help me reach full mobility again. I never felt othered at Perfect Stride Physical Therapy, from the reception with Kim, to just other employees saying hi, I couldn't be happier with my overall treatment and fantastic RESULTS. Thank you everyone! I'll keep on recommending your services as long as you are in business.Posted on M Seltzer15 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding physical therapy office with highly skilled clinicians. I worked with both Vikash and Dominick for different injuries and received excellent, personalized care every step of the way. Everyone in the office is very nice, scheduling is easy. Highly recommendPosted on N Badami7 January 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I worked with Emily for about 4 months to address an ankle injury I had suffered playing basketball. Prior to working with her, I had been suffering from chronic pain and was unable to put much load on the ankle, let alone run on it. Within a few weeks, Emily was able to help address the core issue preventing my ankle from healing properly and then focused on strengthening the joint to prevent future injury. Emily is very professional, knowledgable and friendly. Thanks to her, I am back on the court and feeling better than ever!Posted on I Rusher24 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I absolutely love perfect stride and am so happy with the care I've received so far. After struggling with other PTs in the city I finally found a place that specializes in running and ankle mobility. Dominik has been THE BEST therapist and after only a few weeks I can already tell my injury is improving. So thankful for him and his attention to detail!Posted on C Coghlan23 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 stars. I've worked with Dominik for several months for a chronic, inscrutable, long-lasting hip and knee overuse injury. I've worked with several PTs prior and Perfect Stride is the first time that I've made meaningful progress towards being pain-free in every activity again! Thing to highlight: * Dominik is very to date on the latest research and treatments. The extra effort he puts into continual education pays off. * Sessions are 1-1 for the full hour. * The copay/pricing was very reasonable (with my insurance). * Everyone is likeable and kind. * The clientele are largely athletes.Posted on B Bennett15 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend perfect stride physical therapy enough. I had a calf injury and I worked with Rene for several months to get back to running. He was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I always left my sessions with more peace of mind and confidence that I could get back to my normal running and feel even stronger.Posted on Sterling6 December 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been having chronic knee pain from running for the past 3 months and haven't made progress on my own. During my initial consultation visit, Emily skillfully identified the root deficiencies/imbalances causing my knee pain and offered a comprehensive plan to help me not only recover from my knee pain but also train for my marathon which I had almost given up on! The 1:1 for 1 hour format is super productive and feels very personal. Highly recommend!Posted on S Bronder19 November 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I worked with Dominik Slaweta here for a neck and shoulder injury and he was absolutely fantastic. He listened thoroughly, then had me work through several exercises until he diagnosed the specific mechanisms that led to my injury. He was thorough in showing me exercises for recovery and always sends follow up emails after sessions with descriptions of all the exercises. My neck and shoulders feel fantastic now and I can contribute that completely to Dominik. If you were on the fence about going to physical therapy, take this as a call to action and make an appointment with Dominick!
